Nine of our product lines so far have been built for industrial mounting, sensing, or classroom demonstration. This one is different: it's a pot magnet with a steel hook attached, designed to be hung on any ferrous surface and then used to hang something else on it - tools, extension cords, curtains, string lights, or whatever else needs a quick, repositionable mounting point without drilling a hole.

Material and Construction
The core is an N42 grade sintered NdFeB magnet, housed in a steel cup that concentrates the magnetic field through the open face at the bottom while the cup itself shields the other three sides - this is the same basic pot magnet construction used in our industrial D60 pot magnet line, just paired here with an external hook instead of a threaded stud or eyebolt. Standard coating is a Ni-Cu-Ni triple layer, with zinc, gold, silver, and epoxy finishes available on request. Dimensional tolerance is held to ±0.05mm, and size is fully customizable to match specific hook load or footprint requirements.

Where This Gets Used
Because the magnetic pull is concentrated at the base and shielded on the sides, this pot-and-hook combination grips flat steel surfaces firmly while keeping the hook itself free to carry load at an angle - garage walls, cabin bulkheads, refrigerator sides, filing cabinets, workshop pegboards backed by steel, and similar ferrous surfaces all work. It's a practical fit for home organization, light workshop use, and cabin or cruise storage where permanent fasteners aren't an option.

Customization
Coating, size, and hook geometry can all be adjusted to your specification - send us your load requirement and mounting surface details and we can confirm feasibility. Standard delivery runs 31-45 days for production orders, with sample lead time of 15-20 days for evaluation before committing to a larger run.

Handling Notes
Like all sintered NdFeB magnets, the core material is brittle under impact even though it's protected inside the steel cup - avoid dropping the assembly on hard surfaces. When mounting on polished or coated metal surfaces such as stainless steel refrigerators, we recommend placing a thin layer of felt, cloth, or tape between the magnet base and the surface to prevent scratching during repositioning. Keep away from electronic devices, credit cards, and pacemakers during storage and handling.
Common Questions
How strong is the holding force?
Holding force depends on the specific size and magnet grade you select - because this product is offered in customizable sizes rather than one fixed dimension, we confirm the exact pull force once your size and surface requirement are specified. Contact us with your load requirement and we'll recommend a suitable configuration.
Will this scratch my refrigerator or cabinet surface?
On polished or coated surfaces, we recommend a thin protective layer (felt, cloth, or tape) between the magnet base and the surface, especially if you plan to reposition it frequently.
What's the minimum order quantity?
200 pieces at standard pricing tiers; smaller sample quantities can be arranged for evaluation before a production order.
What certifications does this product carry?
CE and RoHS compliant, produced under an ISO9001:2000 quality system.
